Kutesa linked with Servette return after AEK Athens move

Swiss-Angolan winger Dereck Kutesa is being linked with a return to Servette FC from AEK Athens, just over a year after joining the Greek club.

The 28-year-old moved to AEK from Servette on a free transfer in July 2025 and remains under contract with the Greek champions until 30 June 2028. A possible return to Switzerland would see Kutesa rejoin the club where he enjoyed a trophy-winning spell and helped win the Swiss Cup in 2024.

Kutesa has made one appearance for AEK in the 2026-27 Super League 1 season, without scoring or providing an assist. He has not featured in the Greek Cup, Champions League qualifying or Greek Super Cup this campaign.

His reported market value is €3.5m, although there is no indication of a fee being discussed or that an agreement has been reached between the clubs. The transfer link has emerged with Servette competing in the Swiss Super League and AEK defending the Greek title won in 2026.

Kutesa began his senior career at Servette before spells with Basel, Luzern, St Gallen, Stade Reims and Zulte Waregem. He returned to Servette in 2022 and spent three seasons there before moving to Athens. For now, he remains an AEK Athens player with three years left on his contract.
