Wilfred Ndidi emerges as Al-Ittihad target in Saudi Pro League transfer rumour

Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been linked with a move from Besiktas to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

Ndidi, 29, joined Besiktas from Leicester City in August 2025 for a reported €8m and remains under contract with the Turkish club until 30 June 2028. His current market value is listed at €8m.

The Lagos-born midfielder has made three Super Lig appearances this season, playing 110 minutes, while also featuring twice in Europa League qualifying and contributing one assist. He has not scored in either competition.

Ndidi spent eight seasons with Leicester after joining from Belgian side Genk in January 2017. He won the FA Cup with the club in 2021 and helped Leicester secure promotion back to the Premier League in 2024.

The reported interest from Al-Ittihad comes little more than a year after Ndidi moved to Besiktas, where he has been used during the opening weeks of the 2026-27 campaign. Any move would therefore involve negotiations with the Istanbul club rather than a free transfer, given the length of his existing contract.
