Raja Casablanca sign France-Morocco striker Mounaim El Idrissy on free transfer

France and Morocco centre-forward Mounaim El Idrissy has joined Raja Casablanca from Troyes on a free transfer, becoming the latest player to switch from French football to Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi.

The 27-year-old completed the move on 2 September 2026 and has signed a contract with Raja that runs until 30 June 2028. El Idrissy, who plays as a centre-forward and is naturally right-footed, leaves Troyes after 18 months with the French club.

El Idrissy joined Troyes from Belgian side KV Kortrijk in February 2025. His move to Kortrijk came after four years with AC Ajaccio, where he progressed from the club’s reserve team into the senior squad.

His career in France includes 117 Ligue 2 appearances, during which he scored 13 goals and provided five assists. He also made 32 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring six goals and registering one assist. In Belgium, he played 31 Jupiler Pro League matches.

The forward began his senior career with AC Ajaccio B after coming through Ajaccio’s under-19 setup. He recorded 10 goals in 18 appearances in National 2 for the reserve side before establishing himself in the first-team pathway.

Born in Martigues, France, El Idrissy holds French and Moroccan nationality. At 1.81 metres, he offers Raja a centre-forward with experience across France’s top two divisions and a spell in Belgium’s leading competition.

His arrival marks a new stage of his career in Morocco after spending the majority of his professional career in Europe. Raja have secured his services without a transfer fee, with the player’s next contract taking him through the end of June 2028.

El Idrissy’s transfer was completed on 2 September 2026, when he formally left Troyes to join Raja Casablanca.
