Doxa Katokopia bring in Germany-Guinea winger Benjamin Heymann

Germany-Guinea winger Benjamin Heymann has joined Cypriot club Doxa Katokopia from Berlin Turkspor on a free transfer, completing a move that takes the 22-year-old into the country’s 2. Division.

Heymann, who plays on the right wing, joined Doxa on 2 September 2026 and has signed a contract running until 31 May 2027. The Berlin-born player is capable of using both feet and arrives after spending the previous season with Berlin Turkspor in the Berlin-Liga.

The transfer represents a change of league and country for Heymann, who began the 2026-27 campaign in Germany before switching to Doxa. He had not made an appearance in the Berlin-Liga or Berliner Pokal during the current season before the move.

Heymann joined Berlin Turkspor from Polar Pinguin on a free transfer in August 2025. His time at Polar Pinguin followed a move from Wilmersdorf II at the beginning of 2025, also without a transfer fee.

Earlier in his career, the winger played for FC Wilmersdorf after moving from SC Staaken II, having previously been with SC Staaken’s under-19 side. Those transfers formed part of his progression through Berlin’s football structure before his move abroad.

Doxa Katokopia’s new signing was born in Berlin on 15 February 2004 and stands 1.78m tall. He holds German and Guinean nationality and now continues his career in Cyprus after completing a free transfer from Berlin Turkspor.

Heymann’s contract with Doxa Katokopia runs until May 2027.
