Ismaila Sarr agent criticises Crystal Palace transfer stance

Ismaila Sarr’s agent, Diomansy Kamara, has criticised Crystal Palace after the club rejected two Liverpool offers for the Senegalese winger during the transfer window.

Liverpool first tabled a £50 million bid before returning with a second proposal worth €60 million, but Palace refused both approaches.

The decisions left Sarr at Selhurst Park despite reported interest from the Premier League champions. Kamara responded publicly on Instagram, arguing that players must have greater influence over decisions that shape their careers.

“It is necessary to move away from the idea that an African player can sometimes appear to be nothing more than a commodity: he is bought, his price is set, his future is negotiated and, too often, his wishes seem to come second,” Kamara wrote.

“Our African players deserve respect. A transfer should not be reduced to business between two clubs and numbers. Behind every contract, there is a man, a career, dreams and life choices.”

Sarr therefore remains a Crystal Palace player after a frustrating summer transfer saga. The 28-year-old will now be expected to refocus on his club commitments, although his representative’s remarks could keep scrutiny on Palace’s handling of the failed move.
