SENEGAL: BRUNO ABDOU KARIM METSU RESTS DEFINITIVELY IN THE MUSLIM CEMETERY OF YOFF (DAKAR)

Bruno Metsu, the former coach of the Senegal national football team, was buried at the Yoff Muslim cemetery in Dakar on Monday around 12 p.m. GMT. The funeral procession was attended by a large crowd, including sports and political figures, as well as civil society. The President of the Senegalese Republic was also present. The generation of players from the 2002 World Cup, including Salif Diao and El Hadji Diouf, and representatives from the Senegalese football federation were among those paying their respects. The burial was delayed due to the large number of Metsu fans wearing T-shirts with the inscription “THANK YOU METSU.” The Yoff Muslim cemetery, opened in 1974, is the final resting place for many celebrities and renowned personalities in Senegal.
