Oumar Sidibe: Cannes sign French-Ivorian winger from AS Nancy on free transfer
French-Ivorian winger Oumar Sidibe has joined Cannes from AS Nancy on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old right winger completed the move on 1 September 2026, returning to France’s third tier with Cannes after spending the previous season between Nancy and Paris 13 Atletico.
Sidibe began the 2025-26 campaign with Nancy before moving to Paris 13 Atletico on loan on 2 February 2026. He returned to Nancy when that loan ended on 30 June, before making the switch to Cannes at the start of the new season.
The Paris-born player has made 99 appearances in Ligue 3, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. He has also featured 15 times in Ligue 2 and has played in 16 Coupe de France matches, scoring five goals.
Sidibe’s career includes a spell with FC Villefranche, whom he joined from Paris 13 Atletico in 2023, before moving to Nancy a year later. He also came through the youth system at Valenciennes, having started his development with Paris 13’s under-19 side.
His honours include one French third-tier championship, while his career has also included appearances in National 2 and the National under-19 competition.
The right-footed winger is listed at 1.76m and holds both French and Ivorian nationality. His market value was €250,000 at the time of the transfer.
Cannes compete in Ligue 3, the division in which Sidibe has accumulated the largest number of senior appearances. His arrival brings further experience in the competition to the club’s attack following his time with Nancy, Paris 13 Atletico and Villefranche.
Sidibe’s move to Cannes was completed as a free transfer from AS Nancy on 1 September 2026.
