Ostiamare sign Senegalese-Italian striker Ibrahima Papa Wade from Cesena
Senegalese-Italian centre-forward Ibrahima Papa Wade has joined Ostiamare from Cesena on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old has moved to the Serie C Group B club after making the step up to Cesena’s senior squad earlier this year. His loan runs until 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to Cesena.
Wade joined Cesena from the club’s Under-20 side on 1 July 2026, having spent the previous two seasons in the youth system. He arrived at Cesena Under-20 from Ancona Under-19 in August 2024, following his progression through Ancona’s academy.
The striker was born on 8 October 2006 and holds Senegalese and Italian nationality. Standing at 1.81m, he is a right-footed forward whose primary position is centre-forward.
His move to Ostiamare gives him a change of club and a place in a senior squad competing in Italy’s third tier. Ostiamare’s league campaign is under way, while the club has also entered the Coppa Italia this season.
Wade had not made an appearance for Cesena in Serie B or the Coppa Italia during the 2026-27 campaign before completing the switch. He now joins Ostiamare with the temporary move providing the next stage of his club career after his transition from youth football to Cesena’s first-team structure.
Cesena remain in Serie B, while Ostiamare compete in Serie C Group B, meaning the loan places Wade in a different level of Italy’s professional game for the season. His registered return to Cesena at the end of June 2027 means the move is temporary rather than a permanent transfer.
The deal was completed on 1 September 2026, with Wade joining Ostiamare from Cesena on loan until 30 June 2027.
