French-Congolese winger Florian Bianchini has joined Clermont Foot from Swansea on loan, adding a 25-year-old right-sided attacker to the Ligue 2 club’s squad.
The move was completed on 1 September and runs until 30 June 2027, when Bianchini is scheduled to return to Swansea. No loan fee has been disclosed.
Bianchini moves to France after spending the opening part of the 2026-27 season with Swansea in the Championship. He had not made an appearance for the Welsh club in the Championship or EFL Cup before switching clubs.
The winger spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Portsmouth, returning to Swansea at the end of that spell on 31 May. He joined Portsmouth after beginning the season with Swansea, where he had moved following a permanent transfer from SC Bastia.
Bianchini joined Swansea from Bastia on 23 August 2024 for a fee of €2.38m. His move to the Corsican club had come a year earlier, when he signed for free from Amiens.
The player began his senior career with Amiens, progressing from the club’s youth sides to Amiens SC B before making temporary moves to US Avranches and LB Chateauroux. He returned to Amiens between those loan spells before leaving for Bastia in 2023.
Born in Reims on 25 June 2001, Bianchini stands 1.77m tall and operates primarily as a right winger. He is right-footed and holds French and Democratic Republic of Congo nationality.
Clermont Foot’s new arrival has a market value of €1m and joins a club competing in Ligue 2. His addition gives the French side another wide attacking option for the 2026-27 campaign, while Swansea retain the player’s registration beyond the temporary move.
Bianchini’s arrival continues a career that has included football in France, England and Wales, with loan spells forming part of his route through senior football. His latest switch is his third temporary move since leaving Amiens, following his periods with US Avranches, LB Chateauroux and Portsmouth.
The completed loan takes Bianchini to Clermont Foot through 30 June 2027, with Swansea due to take him back at the end of the agreement.
