Werder Bremen weigh move for Stuttgart’s Badredine Bouanani

Algerian-French winger Badredine Bouanani is being linked with a move from Stuttgart to Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen.

The 21-year-old joined Stuttgart from Nice on 31 August 2025 in a deal worth €15m and has a contract with the club until 30 June 2030. His current market value is listed at €10m.

Bouanani, who plays on the right wing and is left-footed, has yet to make an appearance for Stuttgart in the 2026-27 Bundesliga or DFB-Pokal campaigns. The Werder Bremen link emerged on 1 September, with the proposed move currently carrying a reported probability of 39%.

The player was born in Lille and has Algerian and French nationality. Before moving to Stuttgart, he spent the second half of the 2023-24 season on loan at Lorient from Nice, before returning to the French club.

Stuttgart paid €15m to sign Bouanani after his spell at Nice, while the winger’s current valuation is below that figure. Any agreement with Werder would therefore involve a player who remains under a long-term contract at the club.
