Fiorentinas MBala Nzola named in Cagliari transfer speculation

Angolan and French forward M’Bala Nzola is being linked with a move from Fiorentina to Cagliari in a potential Serie A transfer.

Nzola, 30, remains a Fiorentina player after returning to the club at the end of the 2025-26 season. His contract runs until 30 June 2027, while his current market value is listed at €4m.

The striker has yet to feature for Fiorentina during the 2026-27 campaign. He has not appeared in either of the club’s two possible Serie A matches or their Italy Cup fixture so far this season.

Nzola joined Fiorentina from Spezia on 10 August 2023 in a deal worth €12.6m. Since then, he has spent time away from the club on loan, including spells with Lens and Pisa. In the second half of the 2025-26 season, he joined Sassuolo on loan before returning to Florence on 30 June.

A move to Cagliari would keep Nzola in Italy’s top flight, with both clubs listed in Serie A. The rumour does not include a proposed fee or indication that an agreement has been reached.

Nzola was born in Buco-Zau and holds Angolan and French nationality. He is a left-footed centre-forward and stands 1.85m tall. For now, he remains contracted to Fiorentina through the end of June 2027.
