Junior Ligue linked with Pafos move from Venezia

Swiss-Ivorian left-back Junior Ligue is being linked with a move from Venezia to Cyprus League club Pafos.

Ligue, 21, joined Venezia from FC Zurich in January 2026 in a deal reported at €2.5m, but was loaned to Mantova the following day. He returned to Venezia at the end of the 2025-26 season and remains under contract with the Serie A club until 30 June 2028.

The defender has yet to make an appearance for Venezia in the current campaign, with the club having played two Serie A matches and one Coppa Italia tie. He is listed as a left-back and stands 1.86m tall.

A move to Pafos would represent a switch from Italy’s top flight to the Cyprus League, although the rumour has not been confirmed by either club. Ligue began his career with SV Seebach before progressing through the youth system at FC Zurich, where he made the step up from the under-21 side to the senior team in January 2023.

Venezia paid €2.5m to sign him from Zurich before the short-term move to Mantova, and his existing contract means any permanent transfer would require an agreement between the clubs.
