Egersund add Ghana forward Richmond Gyamfi in fresh Norwegian move

Ghana centre-forward Richmond Gyamfi has joined Egersund from Danish club Aarhus GF on loan, giving the Norwegian side a new attacking option for the remainder of 2026.

The 21-year-old’s move to the OBOS-ligaen club was completed on 1 September, with the loan running until 31 December 2026. Gyamfi’s arrival represents another temporary switch in a career that has so far included several spells away from Aarhus.

Gyamfi joined Aarhus from fellow Danish side Hobro IK in July 2024 in a €900,000 transfer. He subsequently moved to Hobro on loan during the second half of the 2024-25 campaign before returning to Aarhus at the end of that season.

The Ghanaian then spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Esbjerg fB. That arrangement ended on 30 June 2026, when he returned to Aarhus, before Egersund secured his services for the rest of the calendar year.

A natural centre-forward, Gyamfi stands 1.85m tall and is right-footed. His move takes him from Denmark’s Superliga to Norway’s second tier, with Egersund becoming the latest club to add him to their attacking ranks.

He began his senior career with Hobro in February 2024 after joining on a free transfer. His subsequent move to Aarhus marked the first permanent transfer recorded in his career, while his latest switch continues a sequence of loan moves involving Danish and Norwegian clubs.

Gyamfi’s contract with Egersund is scheduled to run until 31 December 2026, when he is due to return to Aarhus GF. The Ghanaian striker has therefore completed a loan move from Aarhus to Egersund.
