David Osei starts new Spanish chapter with Somozas free transfer

Ghanaian left winger David Osei has joined Spanish club Somozas from CD Leganes B on a free transfer, beginning a new spell in Spain after returning from a loan in the Czech Republic.

The 21-year-old, who was born in Accra, completed the move on 1 September 2026 and has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Osei has been registered as a left winger and will continue his club career with Somozas following his departure from Leganes B.

Osei spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Czech side Artis Brno. That temporary move began on 20 January 2026 before he returned to Leganes B at the end of the campaign on 30 June.

His arrival at Leganes B had also been completed without a transfer fee, with the winger joining the Spanish club from La Moraleja CF on 1 July 2023. The move to Somozas therefore represents the latest stage of a playing career that has included football in both Spain and the Czech Republic.

Osei has recorded two appearances in the ChNL, playing a total of 74 minutes. The competition formed part of his recent period with Artis Brno, giving him experience outside Spain before his return and subsequent move to Somozas.

The Ghana international’s listed position is on the left side of attack, while his recorded height is 1.70 metres. He joins Somozas at the age of 21 after spending three years with Leganes B, including the loan spell that interrupted his time at the club.

The agreement places Osei at Somozas through the end of June 2027, with the free transfer completed on 1 September 2026.
