Millwall’s Femi Azeez emerges in Brighton transfer rumour
Nigerian-English midfielder Femi Azeez is being linked with a move from Championship club Millwall to Premier League side Brighton.
Azeez, 25, plays as a right midfielder and has been with Millwall since joining from Reading in August 2024 for a reported €1.15m. He is under contract at The Den until 30 June 2028, meaning any move would require Brighton to negotiate a transfer with the Championship club.
The London-born player has made one Championship appearance for Millwall this season, featuring for 29 minutes, and has also played once in the EFL Cup. He has yet to score or provide an assist in the current campaign.
Azeez’s reported market value is €15m, a significant increase on the fee Millwall paid for him two years ago. The figures provide context to the potential deal, although no transfer fee or probability has been established for the Brighton link.
He began his senior career with non-league clubs Northwood, Wealdstone, Hanwell Town and Bracknell before progressing through Reading’s system. Azeez made the permanent move from Reading to Millwall after establishing himself in the professional game.
Brighton have been linked with the left-footed midfielder as the September transfer window develops, but the proposed move remains at rumour stage. Azeez’s current agreement with Millwall runs through the end of the 2027-28 season.
