The President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, will preside over the lifting of the body of Abdou Karim Bruno Metsu on Monday morning at the Principal Hospital in Dakar. This information was provided by the Minister of Sports, Mbagnick Ndiaye, who was part of the Senegalese delegation during the 2002 Asian World Cup where Metsu coached the national team. The Senegalese government has made all necessary arrangements for the funeral to take place under optimal conditions.
Minister Ndiaye emphasized Metsu’s extraordinary stature and professionalism, stating that the State and Senegal owe him a great deal. Additionally, plans are being considered to immortalize Metsu’s name in Senegalese sports infrastructure as a tribute to his contributions.
Bruno Abdou Karim Metsu’s mortal remains arrived in Dakar on Sunday evening, and the lifting of the body will be followed by burial at the Muslim cemetery in Dakar on Monday late morning.
