Westerlo linked with AC Oulu’s Ivorian forward Abdoulaye Kone

Abdoulaye Kone, the Ivorian centre-forward at Finland’s AC Oulu, has been linked with a move to Belgian club KVC Westerlo.

The reported switch would take the 20-year-old from the Veikkausliiga to Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League. No transfer fee or probability has been given for the proposed move, and Kone remains an AC Oulu player.

Kone has made 10 appearances in the 2026 Veikkausliiga, scoring twice and providing one assist. He has also played 11 matches in Finland’s second tier, the Ykkonen, scoring three goals, while making appearances in the Suomen Cup and Liigacup.

The 1.94m forward joined AC Oulu on 1 January 2026 after leaving OLS on a free transfer. His move to Oulu followed a spell with SalPa, where he played on loan from OLS during the first half of the 2025-26 season.

Kone has been used regularly in the Ykkonen, starting all 11 of his league appearances there, while his top-flight involvement has been more limited. His current campaign is the first recorded season in which he has featured for AC Oulu.

The rumour comes with Kone still in the early stages of his senior career and without a recorded contract expiry date at AC Oulu.
