Zamalek tickets on sale for CAF Champions League opener against AS Port

Tazkarti has opened ticket reservations for Zamalek’s CAF Champions League match against Djibouti club AS Port, with the Egyptian champions preparing to begin their campaign in the first preliminary round of the competition.

The first leg is scheduled for 20:00 on Friday, 4 September. Zamalek and AS Port have reached an agreement to play both legs of the tie in Cairo, meaning the two teams will meet in the Egyptian capital for the opening match and the return fixture.

Ticket prices for the game have been set as follows:

– Third class, right and left: 75 Egyptian pounds – Second class: 100 Egyptian pounds – First class: 250 Egyptian pounds – VIP: 500 Egyptian pounds

Supporters can reserve their tickets through Tazkarti using the “Book your ticket here” option.

The fixture marks Zamalek’s return to the CAF Champions League after missing the previous three editions. Their participation comes after they won the Egyptian Premier League last season, a result that secured their place in Africa’s leading club competition.

Zamalek also reached the final of the CAF Confederation Cup last season, but were beaten by USM Alger in a penalty shootout. Their latest continental campaign therefore ended in disappointment, and they will now begin the new Champions League journey against AS Port.

The agreement to stage both matches in Cairo provides Zamalek with home conditions for the two legs of the preliminary-round tie. The club’s immediate objective will be to establish an advantage in the opening game before the return meeting, also scheduled to take place in Cairo.

The ticket release gives Zamalek supporters the opportunity to attend the club’s first CAF Champions League match since their three-edition absence. The range of prices includes four categories, from the 75-pound third-class tickets through to the 500-pound VIP tickets.

Zamalek will enter the tournament as Egyptian Premier League champions, while AS Port will provide the opposition in the opening stage. The first-leg meeting will take place on Friday evening, with kick-off set for 20:00.
