Lamine Ballo: Italian-Ivorian defender joins UC AlbinoLeffe on loan from Inter
Italian-Ivorian right-back Lamine Ballo has joined UC AlbinoLeffe from Inter U20 on loan, with the move taking the 19-year-old into Serie C for the 2026-27 season.
Ballo’s loan runs until 30 June 2027, when he is scheduled to return to Inter U23. He joined AlbinoLeffe on 1 September and has been given a contract running through the same date.
The right-footed defender arrives after progressing through Inter’s youth structure. He moved from Inter U18 to Inter U20 in July 2025, having initially joined the club’s youth set-up from Cremonese Giovani in September 2021.
His move to AlbinoLeffe represents a step into senior football after his previous campaign was spent in the Primavera 1 competition with Inter U20. Ballo has yet to make an appearance in the opening two possible games of the 2026-27 Primavera 1 season.
Ballo has already collected honours at youth level. He won the Italian Supercoppa Primavera with Inter Milan Primavera during the 2025-26 season and was part of the Italy Under-17 side that won the European Under-17 Championship in 2024.
Born in Adzope, Ivory Coast, Ballo holds Italian and Ivorian nationality. He joins an AlbinoLeffe side competing in Serie C – A, with the temporary move providing his latest change of environment since entering Inter’s academy system.
His market value is listed at €150,000, while the loan agreement contains a defined return date to Inter U23 at the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
Ballo has therefore completed his move from Inter U20 to UC AlbinoLeffe on loan until 30 June 2027.
