Kaiserslautern II recruit Morocco-Germany defender Nassim El Ouarti on loan
Moroccan-German left-back Nassim El Ouarti has joined K’lautern II on loan from Wurzb. Kickers, strengthening the Regionalliga Sudwest club’s defensive options for the 2026-27 season.
El Ouarti, 21, has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027. The move takes him from a club competing in Germany’s 3. Liga to Kaiserslautern’s second team, which plays in the Regionalliga Sudwest.
The defender made one appearance in the 3. Liga before switching clubs. He had been with Wurzb. Kickers since 1 September 2026, having joined them from SV Wehen Wiesbaden on a free transfer.
El Ouarti spent the 2025-26 campaign with Wehen Wiesbaden and was part of the squad that won the Hessen Cup. He had previously helped the club claim the same honour in 2024-25, giving him two Hessen Cup winners’ medals.
A left-footed defender standing 1.80m tall, El Ouarti developed through the Wehen system after leaving Mainz 05’s youth set-up in 2019. He moved from SV Wehen’s youth side to the club’s under-17 team in 2021 before progressing to the under-19 squad a year later.
His youth record includes 19 appearances and two goals in the U17-Bundesliga South/Southwest, as well as five Hessenpokal appearances and one assist. He also played four times in the U19 relegation competition.
The move to Kaiserslautern II represents his latest change of club in a busy opening to the 2026-27 season. El Ouarti completed the switch from Wurzb. Kickers on 1 September and will remain with K’lautern II until the end of the loan on 30 June 2027.
