Celtic linked with Chelsea U21 striker Shumaira Mheuka

English-Zimbabwean centre-forward Shumaira Mheuka is the subject of a reported move from Chelsea U21 to Scottish Premiership club Celtic.

Mheuka, 18, joined Chelsea’s under-21 side from the club’s under-18s in July 2024 and is contracted at Stamford Bridge until 30 June 2027. His current market value is listed at €3m.

The Birmingham-born striker has yet to make an appearance for Chelsea U21 this season, with the side listed for two possible Premier League 2 matches and one EFL Trophy fixture. He remains part of Chelsea’s development structure, having moved through the club’s youth teams after joining from Brighton’s academy in July 2022.

Mheuka was part of the Chelsea squad that won the Conference League in the 2024-25 season and also won the English Under-18 Youth League with Chelsea U18 in 2025-26.

The reported interest from Celtic comes with Mheuka still tied to Chelsea for another season beyond the current campaign. No transfer fee or agreement has been established, and the proposed move remains a rumour.
