Bahmed Deuff linked with Royal Antwerp move from Nantes

Bahmed Deuff, the Mauritanian-French midfielder at FC Nantes, has been linked with a move to Belgian club Royal Antwerp.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder is being associated with a transfer from Nantes in Ligue 2 to Antwerp in the Jupiler Pro League. No transfer fee or probability has been given, and the rumour does not indicate that an agreement has been reached.

Deuff has made three appearances in Nantes’ opening four possible Ligue 2 matches this season, playing 30% of the available minutes. He has started one match and has yet to score or provide an assist, with one yellow card recorded.

Born in Nouakchott, Deuff joined Nantes’ senior squad from the club’s reserve side on 8 July 2025. He had previously progressed through Nantes’ youth system before moving into the B team in 2024.

The right-footed player stands 1.94m tall and is valued at €1.2m. That figure is below his highest recorded market value of €1.5m.

Deuff remains under contract with Nantes until 30 June 2029, meaning any move to Royal Antwerp would require the Belgian club to negotiate with the French side rather than wait for the player to become available as a free agent.
