UTA Arad weigh move for La Louviere midfielder Samuel Gueulette

Rwanda-Belgium midfielder Samuel Gueulette is the subject of a reported move from La Louviere to Romanian SuperLiga club UTA Arad.

The 26-year-old plays in central midfield and has been with La Louviere since July 2021. He has made one appearance in the Jupiler Pro League this season, without starting, as speculation grows over a possible switch to Romania.

Gueulette was born in Kigali and holds Rwandan and Belgian nationality. He joined La Louviere after leaving KSV Roeselare, having previously been with AFC Tubize and KAA Gent’s under-21 side.

His current market value is listed at €500,000, while his contract with La Louviere runs until 30 June 2027. The length of that agreement means any move would involve the Belgian club deciding whether to part with a contracted player rather than Gueulette simply becoming available at the end of the season.

The midfielder has made one recorded top-flight appearance for La Louviere and remains part of a squad competing in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League. UTA Arad, meanwhile, are the club linked with taking him to the Romanian SuperLiga.

No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the proposed move remains at rumour stage. Gueulette’s contractual position at La Louviere is unchanged, with his deal due to expire in June 2027.
