Lens bring in Junior Kadile for Ligue 1 loan spell

France and DR Congo winger Junior Kadile has joined Lens from Servette FC on a season-long loan, returning to France to continue his career in Ligue 1.

The 23-year-old left winger completed the move on 31 August 2026, with the agreement running until 30 June 2027. Kadile is contracted to return to Servette at the end of the loan, meaning the switch to Lens is not a permanent transfer.

Kadile moves to the French top flight after beginning the 2026-27 campaign with Swiss Super League side Servette. He had joined Servette permanently from Almere City on 1 July 2026 for a €1m fee, following a loan spell at the club during the previous season.

His latest move brings him back to the country where he began his football career. Born in Rennes, Kadile came through the Rennes academy before progressing to the club’s reserve side. He also spent time on loan at Portuguese club Famalicao during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.

Kadile left Rennes permanently for Stade Lavallois in July 2023 and moved to Almere City in August 2024. His career has therefore included spells in France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Switzerland before his return to French football with Lens.

A right-footed attacker, Kadile’s listed position is left winger. He stands 1.80 metres tall and holds French and DR Congo nationality. Lens become the latest club in a career that has included regular movement between leagues and loan assignments since his senior football began.

The transfer also gives Kadile a place at a club competing in Ligue 1, while Servette retain his registration beyond the current campaign. His Swiss club’s agreement with Lens is scheduled to conclude at the end of June 2027.

Kadile joins Lens from Servette on loan until 30 June 2027.
