Trey Nyoni: Liverpool midfielder linked with Premier League move to Nottingham Forest

England and Zimbabwe midfielder Trey Nyoni is being linked with a move from Liverpool to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old central midfielder remains a Liverpool player, with the proposed move representing a switch between two top-flight clubs. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the move has not been confirmed.

Nyoni has made one Premier League appearance this season, playing seven minutes without scoring or providing an assist. He has not started a league match and has featured in one of Liverpool’s two possible league games.

The Leicester-born midfielder joined Liverpool’s senior squad from Liverpool Under-21s on 1 July 2025, having previously progressed through the club’s youth system after moving from Leicester’s academy in 2023. He was part of the Liverpool team that won the English League Cup in 2024.

Nyoni’s current contract with Liverpool runs until 30 June 2030. His market value is listed at €8 million, although there is no indication of whether that figure bears any relation to a possible fee for a move to Forest.

The transfer rumour was recorded on 31 August 2026, with both clubs in the Premier League. For now, Nyoni remains contracted to Liverpool and has made a limited first-team contribution during the opening stages of the current campaign.
