Karim El Oualadi returns to Mouloudia after Al-Sharq departure

Morocco centre-back Karim El Oualadi has joined Mouloudia on a free transfer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Sharq, completing a return to the club he represented earlier in his career.

The 31-year-old defender made the move on 31 August 2026 after one season with Al-Sharq. He had joined the Saudi club from Kuwait’s Al-Jahra in July 2025, also on a free transfer, following a spell with COD Meknes.

El Oualadi previously played for Mouloudia between January 2022 and January 2023. During that period, he moved on to Al-Entesar before continuing his career outside Morocco, later representing Al-Yarmouk SC and COD Meknes.

Born in Fes, El Oualadi came through the youth system at MAS Fes and began his senior career with the club’s reserve side before stepping up to the first team. He also spent the 2019-20 season with JS Massira on loan from MAS Fes, returning to his parent club at the end of that spell.

The right-footed centre-back has recorded 57 appearances and one goal in the Botola Pro Inwi, along with one appearance in the Moroccan Coupe du Trone and one in the CAF Confederation Cup. His domestic top-flight record includes 3,945 minutes on the pitch.

Standing 1.82m tall, El Oualadi adds experience in central defence as he resumes his career with Mouloudia. His earlier Moroccan clubs also include Berrechid, whom he joined from MAS Fes in August 2021 before moving to Mouloudia several months later.

The transfer brings El Oualadi back to a club he knows after his recent spells in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. He has now completed his free move from Al-Sharq to Mouloudia.
