Valenciennes interested in Angel Yondjo loan

Angel Yondjo could leave Lille’s reserve team before the transfer window closes, with Valenciennes showing interest in the 19-year-old striker.

The LOSC academy and reserve setup has given him a strong platform, but Lille now want to place him in a higher-level environment to speed up his development.

Yondjo is not short of form either. He has been one of the standout players for Lille B, scoring 14 goals and adding three assists in 24 appearances. He also opened the scoring in the reserve side’s 4-1 win over CMS Oissel to start the National 2 season. That match highlighted both his sharp finishing and why Lille see him as ready for a bigger challenge.

A move to Valenciennes would make sense for all sides. The club are currently in Ligue 3 and would offer him a competitive setting closer to the demands of senior football in France. For Lille, it would be a logical loan move to help one of their most promising young attackers continue his progress.

With only a few days left in the market, talks are expected to continue quickly. Yondjo’s next step now depends on whether Valenciennes can turn their interest into a concrete deal.
