Patrice Evra’s recent comments on the Télé Foot set have stirred controversy and elicited a quick response from Pierre Menès. Menès retaliated by stating, “When you are the man who had the idea of the strike in Knysna, you tear down the walls and thank God that you are still in the selection!” referring to the 2010 World Cup incident where the French national team refused to train.
Patrice Evra expressed a desire to meet Menès personally, claiming that Menès attacked his family. Additionally, he suggested that a player from the French football team, Florent Malouda, had already confronted Menès privately.
“Malouda has already caught him; he doesn’t say anything more about him. The day he manages to do eight juggles, I will end my career,” stated Patrice Evra.
This exchange comes just days before two crucial play-off matches for the French national team. Evra’s comments have reignited discussions about the infamous Knysna incident, where the French players boycotted a training session during the 2010 World Cup.
