Juventus weigh Pape Matar Sarr move as Tottenham open to Senegal midfielder’s departure

Juventus are considering a move for Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr after the Senegal international was offered to the Italian club as they continue their search for midfield reinforcements, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Turin side are looking at alternatives after their pursuit of Franck Kessie failed to progress. Sarr has emerged as one possible option, although Juventus face competition from AS Monaco, who are currently considered the most concrete destination for the 22-year-old.

Tottenham appear willing to listen to offers for Sarr despite the midfielder having a contract with the club until June 2030. That stance could lead to increased activity around his future as the transfer window approaches its conclusion.

Monaco have been in discussions with Tottenham for several days and are believed to have moved ahead of their rivals in the race to sign the player. The Ligue 1 club must still reach a final agreement with both Sarr and the Premier League side before a transfer can be completed.

Sarr has also attracted interest from Galatasaray, as previously reported exclusively by Africafoot. However, Monaco currently appear to hold the strongest position among the clubs pursuing the Senegalese midfielder.

Sarr earns an annual salary of €4,254,114 at Tottenham, equivalent to 2,765,174,100 CFA francs. His long-term contract means the Premier League club are under no immediate pressure to sell, but their reported willingness to allow him to leave has opened the door to further negotiations.

Juventus may therefore examine the opportunity before the end of the window, particularly after missing out on Kessie. For now, though, Monaco remain in front in the race for Sarr’s signature.
