Desire Doue agrees to a long-term PSG future
Desire Doue looks set to stay at Paris Saint-Germain for the long haul, with the France international reportedly eager to spend a major part of his career in Paris.
The 20-year-old has made a strong impression since arriving from Rennes and sees his future firmly tied to the reigning European champions.
Unlike Bradley Barcola, who chose a move to Liverpool to secure more playing time, Doue is said to be very happy in the capital and not looking to leave. Current reports indicate that PSG have not yet formally opened renewal talks, but that step should come soon. When it does, the discussions are expected to be straightforward because the player’s position is already clear.
Doue is under contract until June 2029 and already earns around 500,000 euros gross per month. A new deal would likely bring a salary increase that reflects both his status and his importance to the squad.
PSG could also make the situation even more appealing by potentially bringing his brother, Guéla Doué, to the club. The defender has been linked with a move to Paris as the club look for a centre-back who can also play on the right. For now, the main message is simple: Desire Doue wants to stay and build something lasting at PSG.
