Egyptian giants Al Ahly set to renew contracts of three players

Al Ahly SC are preparing to renew the contracts of three players in the first team as the club looks to conclude its remaining contract renewal files at the start of the new season.

According to reports, the Egyptian giants are working on new deals for Omar Sayed Moawad, Mohamed Abdullah and Karim El-Debis following several meetings with Essam Serag, head of the club’s contracts sector.

Hisham revealed that discussions have already taken place over several clauses in the players’ proposed contracts, although none of the three has officially signed an extension yet.

The journalist added that Al Ahly expect to reach a final agreement on all outstanding terms next week, paving the way for the trio to put pen to paper.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly have already completed the renewal of Marwan Attia, with the midfielder signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.

Hisham said Attia signed the extension just one hour after receiving a phone call from the club regarding the new agreement.

Although the midfielder still had three years remaining on his previous contract, Al Ahly decided to improve his financial terms as part of the renewal.

Attia’s new deal reportedly places him within Al Ahly’s financial structure, with the player set to earn EGP 25 million annually, in addition to bonuses and other financial incentives that could amount to a further EGP 10 million.

The club’s move to renew the contracts of Moawad, Abdullah and El-Debis underlines its intention to secure the futures of several key young players while maintaining stability within the squad.
