Moise Kean agrees €40m Como transfer from Fiorentina

Como 1907 have reached a full verbal agreement with Fiorentina to sign Italy international Moise Kean, bringing one of Serie A’s most closely watched transfer sagas close to completion.

The 26-year-old striker is set to join the Champions League club in a deal structured as an initial loan with a mandatory purchase clause.

Como will pay €10 million for the loan, before a further €25 million becomes due for the permanent transfer. Fiorentina could also receive up to €5 million in performance-related bonuses, taking the overall package to €40 million.

Kean had reportedly made Como his preferred destination, with the chance to play Champions League football proving decisive. His willingness to move to the club helped negotiations progress after discussions between the two Italian sides had continued for several days.

The agreement represents a major statement from Como, who are investing heavily to strengthen their squad for the demands of domestic and European competition. Kean’s arrival would provide proven Serie A experience and a focal point in attack.

The transfer is not yet official, but the verbal deal suggests only the final formalities remain. Once completed, Kean will leave Fiorentina for a new challenge at Como, where expectations will be high after the sizeable financial commitment.
