Liverpool set to sign Bradley Barcola in €140m Paris Saint-Germain deal

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain worth about €140m for Bradley Barcola, in a move that would make the winger one of the most expensive signings of recent years.

Barcola is reportedly preparing to leave Paris Saint-Germain and is expected to travel to England in the coming hours to complete his move to Liverpool, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

The agreement follows several weeks of negotiations between the two clubs, who had been working towards a deal before finally reaching an understanding over the transfer. Barcola is expected to join Liverpool during the current season.

The proposed transfer would give Liverpool the attacking reinforcement they have been seeking as they compete for trophies this season. The club have been looking to strengthen their forward line, particularly following the departure of their Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to the Turkish league.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also reported that an agreement has been reached between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. He said Barcola will wear Liverpool’s red shirt after the English club agreed to pay a fee close to €140m.

Barcola’s arrival would provide Liverpool with the long-awaited winger they have been targeting and would represent a major investment in their attack. The transfer would also rank among the biggest fees in the recent market, alongside the fee for Diomande’s move to Real Madrid.

The French winger has been described in the report as one of the outstanding talents available in the transfer market. Liverpool’s agreement with Paris Saint-Germain would therefore secure one of the market’s most highly valued attacking players, subject to the completion of the move.

Barcola has been based in Paris with Paris Saint-Germain, but the report says he is now getting ready to depart for England. His expected journey would mark the next stage of a deal that has taken weeks of discussions between the clubs.

Liverpool’s pursuit reflects their desire to reshape and strengthen their attack for the current campaign. With Salah having moved to the Turkish league, the club have turned to Barcola as the winger they believe can add quality and depth to their forward options.

The €140m figure would make the agreement a landmark transaction for both clubs and one of the highest transfer fees seen in recent years. Although the deal has been reported by both Marca and Fabrizio Romano, Barcola’s move remains to be formally completed before he can officially join Liverpool.
