Fiorentina consider Joshua Zirkzee move as Manchester United role remains limited

Joshua Zirkzee, the Dutch-Nigerian striker at Manchester United, is being linked with a move to Fiorentina in Serie A.

The 25-year-old has yet to make an appearance for United in the 2026-27 Premier League campaign, with the club having played one possible league fixture. The rumour is currently rated at 51%.

Zirkzee joined Manchester United from Bologna in July 2024 for a reported €42.5m. His current market value is listed at €20m, while his contract at Old Trafford runs until 30 June 2029.

The forward’s time at Bologna included recognition as the club’s best young player in 2024, before he moved to the Premier League. He had previously been part of Bayern Munich’s senior set-up and won the Champions League with the German club in the 2019-20 season.

A move to Fiorentina would represent a return to Italy, where Zirkzee established himself before joining United. However, there is no confirmation that formal negotiations have taken place, and the rumour remains unconfirmed.

Zirkzee remains a Manchester United player under contract until 2029, with his reported €20m valuation below the fee paid for him two years ago.
