The Moroccan U-17 girls’ national team secured a resounding 11-0 victory against their Niger counterparts.
The match, held on Monday at Berkane Municipal Stadium, marked the first leg of the second-round qualifiers for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, set to take place in the Dominican Republic.
The national elite squad showcased their prowess with goals from various players, including Wafaa Ben Eltahri (19′), Salma Essanahaji (26′), Aouatef Elghazwani (31′), Leina Aljamaa ElMokhtari, who scored an impressive four times (32′, 34′, 42′, 45+1′, 90+4′), Inas Abu Sharif (51′), Saham Bohoosh (55′), and finally, Sara AzZafri (90′).
The second leg of the fixture is scheduled for next Friday on the same pitch at 5:00 PM. Coach Yunis Rabii, at the helm of the Moroccan U-17 women’s football team, extended invitations to 24 players to represent the national squad in this crucial encounter.
