Reggiana sign Gambia striker Sulayman Jallow from Vis Pesaro on loan
Gambia striker Sulayman Jallow has joined Reggiana from fellow Italian club Vis Pesaro on loan until 30 June 2027.
The 29-year-old centre-forward switches clubs within Serie C, moving to a Reggiana side competing in Girone B. The deal was completed on 27 August 2026, with Jallow’s contract at his new club running through the end of the 2026-27 season.
Jallow arrives after a single season with Vis Pesaro, whom he joined from Arzignano on a free transfer in August 2025. His previous move also took place in Serie C, continuing a long spell in the Italian football system.
The forward began his senior career in Italy after leaving Gambian club Real de Banjul for Olimpia Riccia in 2014. He subsequently played for Agnonese before joining Ascoli’s under-19 side, later making temporary moves between Ascoli and Viterbese.
Jallow’s career has included spells with Gubbio, Cuneo, Milano City, Montevarchi, Latina Calcio, Turris, Cerignola and Arzignano. He joined Montevarchi from Milano City as a free agent in 2020 and later moved to Viterbese in January 2023 for a fee of €5,000.
The Gambian enjoyed his most notable scoring season in 2020-21, when he finished as the top scorer in Serie D – Girone E with 21 goals. That achievement remains the clearest scoring landmark recorded in his career history.
A right-footed attacker standing 1.84m tall, Jallow is listed as a centre-forward and will now continue his career in the same Italian division with Reggiana. He had not made an appearance for Vis Pesaro in the 2026-27 campaign before the move.
The transfer gives Jallow a fresh opportunity at a club whose season includes Serie C – Girone B and the Coppa Italia Serie C. Reggiana have secured his services for the campaign, while the agreement includes his return to Vis Pesaro at the end of the loan.
Jallow has therefore completed a loan transfer from Vis Pesaro to Reggiana, with the move lasting until 30 June 2027.
