Portsmouth linked with Comoros-France midfielder Iyad Mohamed in Casa Pia move
Comoros-France midfielder Iyad Mohamed is being linked with a move from Casa Pia to Portsmouth in the Championship.
Mohamed, 25, plays as a defensive midfielder and is under contract with the Liga Portugal club until 30 June 2027. No transfer fee has been reported for a potential move to England, while his current market value is listed at €400,000.
The midfielder has not featured for Casa Pia in the opening three possible Liga Portugal matches of the 2026-27 season. He has recorded no appearances, starts, goals, assists or minutes during that period.
Mohamed joined Casa Pia from French club Pau FC on 3 February 2025 in a deal recorded at €100,000. His move to Portugal came after a season with Pau, having previously been part of the Caen setup and spent time on loan at Le Mans during the 2022-23 campaign.
Born in Dunkerque, France, Mohamed began his youth career with local side Dunkerque before moving to Lille’s academy and later joining Auxerre. He made the step into senior football with Auxerre’s reserve side before moving to Caen in 2022.
Portsmouth’s interest remains at the rumour stage, with Mohamed’s contract situation at Casa Pia meaning any agreement would need to be reached before his current deal expires.
