RS Berkane sign Mohamed Amine Sahil on loan from Ittihad Touarga

Moroccan champions RS Berkane have completed the signing of Mohamed Amine Sahil from Ittihad Touarga on a season-long loan as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The 23-year-old has joined the club on an initial one-year loan deal, with the agreement containing an option for a second season.

The second year of the loan will be automatically activated at the start of the following season, meaning Sahil could remain with the Orange outfit for two campaigns depending on the terms of the agreement.

The deal also includes an important financial clause for Ittihad Touarga. The club has secured a significant percentage of any future transfer fee should Sahil eventually leave and join another club.

That clause will remain valid throughout the two-year period covered by the loan agreement, ensuring Ittihad Touarga retain a financial interest in the player’s future should he attract a permanent transfer.

Sahil’s move to Berkane comes after a proposed transfer to Russian club Dynamo Makhachkala failed to materialise.

Earlier reports suggested Dynamo Makhachkala had opened negotiations with Ittihad Touarga over a potential move for the young midfielder. However, the talks eventually stalled, creating an opportunity for RS Berkane to step in.

The Moroccan club quickly established contact with Ittihad Touarga and took advantage of the situation to negotiate a loan agreement for Sahil.

After discussions between the two clubs, the parties reached a final agreement, paving the way for the 23-year-old to make the switch to Berkane.

For RS Berkane, the arrival of Sahil provides another option as the club prepares for a demanding season and looks to maintain its competitiveness both domestically and on the continental stage.

Sahil, meanwhile, will be hoping to use his time with the Orange side to continue his development and establish himself as an important player at one of Morocco’s leading clubs.

The 23-year-old’s move also represents a significant step in his career, particularly after his proposed move to Russia collapsed.

RS Berkane will now look to integrate Sahil into the squad as preparations for the new season continue, with the club expecting the youngster to contribute to its ambitions across the various competitions.
