Hope FC make a statement with distinctive new away kit

Hope FC have unveiled a striking new away kit as the newly promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship club continues to attract attention both on and off the pitch.

The club’s latest release is a dusty red jersey featuring a prominent white cross across the centre. The design gives the shirt a distinctive identity, while its clean appearance is enhanced by the absence of a front-of-shirt sponsor.

A collar adds further detail to the kit, which was unveiled with several of the club’s recognised players in attendance, including Samkelo Zwane and Lyle Lakay.

“ A jersey for our people. A jersey that represents where we come from and what we believe in,” said the club in a statement.

Hope FC were promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the end of last season after competing in third-tier football. Their rise has helped place the club in the spotlight, and they have continued to build their profile since stepping up to the second tier.

The club’s growing presence has been supported by the recruitment of established footballers such as Zwane and Lakay. Both players were among the faces involved in presenting the new away strip, underlining the increasing profile of the team.

The red-and-white design has also drawn comparisons with the concept of Norway’s 2026 FIFA World Cup home kit, particularly because of the cross motif positioned in the middle of the shirt.

Their chairman is former Kaizer Chiefs player Keegan Buchanan, whose involvement adds another prominent football connection to the club’s progress.
