Renato Sanches linked with Ipswich move from Paris SG U23

Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches, currently with Paris SG U23, is being linked with a move to Premier League club Ipswich.

Sanches, 29, joined Paris SG U23 on 1 July after returning to Paris Saint-Germain from a season-long loan at Panathinaikos. His contract with the French club runs until 30 June 2027, while his current market value is listed at €2m.

The central midfielder spent the 2025-26 campaign in Greece before returning to PSG, having previously enjoyed loan spells at Benfica and Roma. His move into the Paris SG U23 set-up leaves his next destination uncertain, with Ipswich named as a possible option in the current transfer window.

Sanches has made 90 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists. He also has experience in the Premier League, having played 12 times in the competition during his loan spell at Swansea in the 2017-18 season.

He remains one of Portugal’s most decorated midfielders. Sanches was part of the country’s European Championship-winning squad in 2016 and was named the tournament’s best young player. He also won the Golden Boy award that year.

A transfer to Ipswich has not been confirmed, and no fee or agreement has been established. Sanches is currently contracted to Paris Saint-Germain until June 2027 and registered with their under-23 side.
