FAR Rabat keen to retain Khalid Ait Ourkhan

FAR Rabat have reportedly reached an agreement with midfielder Khalid Ait Ourkhan to improve certain terms of his contract while extending his stay at the Moroccan club for a further two seasons.

According to reports, the club’s management has agreed to reward Ait Ourkhan for his performances by revising some of the benefits attached to his contract.

The agreement is understood to include a two-year renewal, keeping the player at the Royal Army club as the management pushes to maintain core of the squad.

However, the proposed improvements will not affect Ait Ourkhan’s monthly salary. FAR Rabat players’ wages are reportedly governed by a standardised salary structure, meaning the club will instead make adjustments to other financial aspects of the midfielder’s agreement.

One of the main changes concerns his signing bonus, which will be reviewed as part of the new contract.

The decision to improve this aspect of the agreement is seen as recognition of the contribution Ait Ourkhan has made since establishing himself in the FAR Rabat squad.

The midfielder has gradually become an important figure for the military club, earning greater confidence through a series of encouraging performances.

His progress has convinced the club’s management that retaining him should be a priority, particularly as FAR Rabat continue to compete for major honours in Morocco while also preparing for demanding continental commitments.

The renewal is therefore viewed as part of a broader strategy to preserve the stability of the squad and avoid losing key players while the club pursues its ambitions on multiple fronts.

Ait Ourkhan’s development within the team has been one of the positives for FAR Rabat in recent times. Having successfully established himself in the squad, the midfielder has become an increasingly important option for the technical staff.

His performances have now been rewarded with improved contractual conditions and an extended commitment to the club.

The agreement also demonstrates FAR Rabat’s desire to build around players who have already demonstrated their value rather than making significant changes to the squad.

With the club continuing its pursuit of domestic success and facing continental challenges, maintaining a settled squad is considered crucial.

Ait Ourkhan is expected to remain with FAR Rabat for the next two seasons once the renewal is formally completed, giving the club further continuity in midfield.

For the player, the improved contract represents recognition of his progress and the trust placed in him by the club’s hierarchy.

The new agreement is expected to ensure that Ait Ourkhan remains part of FAR Rabat’s plans as the club looks to compete for titles and strengthen its position among Morocco’s leading teams.
