Ghanaian midfielder Michael Agbekpornu is among six new players signed by Raja Casablanca as the Moroccan giants strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Green Eagles have completed deals for Agbekpornu, Marian Huja, Younes Dahmani, Chemseddine Knaidil, Ishak Zidani and Brazilian youngster Luis Felipe, also known as “Felipinho”.

The recruitment sees Raja add a mixture of experience, youth and depth across several areas of the squad.

Agbekpornu joins from Spain

Agbekpornu is the latest arrival at Raja, with the 27-year-old central midfielder joining as a free agent.

The Ghanaian previously played for Spanish side SD Huesca and has also had spells with Croatian club Slaven Belupo and Albania’s KF Egnatia.

He has signed a contract with Raja until 2029 and is expected to provide greater physical strength and defensive ability in midfield.

His move to one of Morocco’s biggest clubs represents another opportunity for a Ghanaian player to continue his career in North African football.

Huja strengthens defence

Raja have also brought in Portuguese centre-back Marian Huja from Romanian club CFR Cluj.

The 27-year-old joined the Casablanca side in August, with the transfer reportedly costing about €350,000.

Huja’s experience in European football is expected to give Raja greater depth and physical presence in central defence.

Moroccan talent added to squad

Raja have also invested in domestic talent, signing winger Younes Dahmani from US Touarga.

The 25-year-old joined on 7 August and has agreed a contract running until 2030 after impressing with his attacking performances last season.

Moroccan left-back Chemseddine Knaidil has also arrived from COD Meknès. The 23-year-old provides another option on the left side of defence as Raja prepare for a demanding campaign.

Defensive midfielder Ishak Zidani has joined from RCA Zemamra, adding further competition in the middle of the pitch.

Brazilian youngster completes recruitment

The sixth arrival is Brazilian midfielder Luis Felipe, known locally as “Felipinho”.

The youngster joined from the Fluminense youth setup on a free transfer in August and gives Raja another young option in midfield.

His arrival also adds an international dimension to a squad that is increasingly combining established players with emerging talent.

Raja target stronger 2026-27 campaign

Raja’s summer recruitment reflects an attempt to strengthen several positions ahead of the new season.

Agbekpornu and Huja bring experience, while Dahmani, Knaidil and Zidani provide further Moroccan options. Felipinho, meanwhile, represents an investment in younger international talent.

With six new players already added, Raja are continuing to reshape their squad as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
