Allan Okello signs three-year deal with AS FAR Rabat

Uganda international Allan Okello has signed his official contract with Moroccan club AS FAR Rabat, completing his move to the reigning African champions.

The midfielder arrived in Rabat on Friday and has completed the formalities of the transfer, including signing a three-year contract with the club.

The deal is reportedly worth $500,000, underlining AS FAR’s interest in securing the services of the talented Ugandan midfielder for the long term.

Okello’s arrival strengthens AS FAR’s squad as the club prepares for another demanding campaign domestically and in continental competition. The Rabat-based side have continued to strengthen their squad as they look to compete at the highest level in Morocco and Africa.

The 26-year-old is regarded as one of Uganda’s most talented attacking midfielders and has established himself as an important figure for the national team.

His move to Morocco represents another significant step in his career and gives him the opportunity to play regularly in one of Africa’s most competitive leagues while also competing in continental football.

Okello travelled to Rabat earlier on Friday and completed the final stages of the transfer before putting pen to paper on his three-year agreement.

An official announcement from AS FAR Rabat is expected soon, with the club set to formally confirm the signing.

The transfer is expected to attract considerable attention in Uganda, where Okello remains one of the country’s leading football talents.
