Harry Kane’s representatives hold talks with Al Hilal over potential Saudi Pro League move
Al Hilal have held direct talks with Harry Kane’s representatives as they explore a potentially seismic move for the Bayern Munich striker during the current transfer window.
According to English outlet TEAMtalk, the Saudi Pro League club have identified Kane as their leading target as they attempt to strengthen their attack. Discussions have taken place with the England captain’s representatives as Al Hilal seek to persuade him to move to Saudi Arabia.
Kane’s brother and principal agent, Charlie Kane, met Simon Francis, Al Hilal’s football director, over the weekend. Francis is currently in England as he works on a list of attacking players being considered by the Saudi club.
The approach forms part of a planned overhaul of Al Hilal’s forward line. The club have already signed Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United and are also targeting another winger and a new striker.
Kane is at the top of their list of centre-forward options, although Al Hilal are considering several alternatives. The club are also assessing possible moves for wide players, including Savinho and Pedro Neto.
Any move for Kane would depend in part on Bayern Munich’s position. The German club are keen to retain the England striker, particularly because his current contract is entering its final year.
Bayern are working on a three-year extension for Kane, which would keep him at the club until June 2029. The striker joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur and remains a central part of their plans, although Al Hilal’s interest could create significant uncertainty around his future.
Al Hilal are preparing for several changes in attack, with Karim Benzema potentially set to leave the club. Darwin Nunez is also nearing a loan move to Trabzonspor, according to the report.
The Saudi club’s recruitment strategy therefore involves both replacing possible departures and adding further quality to their attacking options. Kane’s status as their preferred striker makes him the headline target in what could become one of the most notable deals of the current transfer window.
No agreement has been announced between Al Hilal, Bayern Munich or Kane, but the discussions with his representatives indicate the Saudi club have moved beyond initial interest and are actively exploring the possibility of bringing him to the Saudi Pro League.
