Zakaria Aboukhlal on the radar of Elche

Spanish side Elche have opened negotiations with Torino over a possible move for Moroccan international Zakaria Aboukhlal.

The La Liga club are exploring a loan deal for the forward, with the proposed agreement potentially including an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan spell.

However, the discussions involve more than simply agreeing on the loan terms and purchase option. Torino are also looking to safeguard their financial interests in the event that Aboukhlal eventually leaves Elche after completing a permanent move.

One of the key points under discussion is reportedly a future-sale clause that would allow Torino to receive a percentage of any transfer fee should Elche later sell the Moroccan international.

The two clubs remain in negotiations as they work through the financial and contractual conditions of the proposed deal. At this stage, no final agreement has been reached.

Aboukhlal joined Torino from Toulouse after being linked with the Italian club last summer, and he could now be heading for a new challenge in Spain if Elche and Torino manage to reach an agreement.
