Liverpool have reportedly won the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ibrahim Mbaye, with the Senegalese forward said to have chosen a move to Anfield this summer.

The 18-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs as he seeks more regular first-team opportunities. Despite having a contract with PSG until June 2028, Mbaye is reportedly expected to leave the French club during the current transfer window.

According to reports, Liverpool have managed to convince the Senegal international to join the Reds, with the two parties said to have reached an agreement on financial terms.

Mbaye is reportedly set to sign a five-year contract with Liverpool after choosing the Premier League giants ahead of other interested clubs.

The young striker is understood to have preferred a move to Anfield, where he would have the opportunity to continue his development in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues.

A transfer to Liverpool would also see Mbaye experience a new European league after his spell with PSG. The Senegalese youngster has already been part of the French club’s successful squad and is reported to have won two Champions League titles.

Liverpool’s reported move for Mbaye highlights their interest in securing young talent with significant potential, while the player could see the Premier League as the ideal platform to take the next step in his career.

If completed, Mbaye’s move would mark a new chapter for the 18-year-old, who would leave PSG for England despite still having two years remaining on his current contract.
