Cape Town City unveil bold blue and yellow home kit for 2026/27 season
Cape Town City have unveiled their new home kit for the 2026/27 Motsepe Foundation Championship season, continuing their partnership with sportswear manufacturer Umbro.
The latest design retains the club’s familiar blue and yellow colours, while introducing faded striping details across the shirt for a refreshed look.
Cape Town City’s visual identity remains central to the kit, with the traditional colour scheme providing the foundation for a design that combines a modern appearance with recognisable club features.
The collar is among the shirt’s most distinctive elements. Additional detailing around the neck and upper-chest area creates a shape that resembles a pair of downward-facing horns.
That feature gives the shirt a different appearance while maintaining the broader aesthetic associated with CT City.
Umbro has worked with the club on the kit, which is described as combining performance-focused materials with details linked to Cape Town City.
The club’s popular front-of-shorts sponsor, SportPesa, also remains part of the design, ensuring continuity with the team’s established match-day appearance.
A statement by the club reads: “Designed with a clean, contemporary look and built for performance, it combines lightweight comfort with distinctive club detailing.
“Featuring breathable performance mesh, the latest D-logo club badge and refined neck detailing, the jersey is designed to keep you comfortable on match day and beyond.”
The shirt includes the latest version of the D-logo club badge, alongside breathable performance mesh intended to provide comfort.
Cape Town City’s new home kit will be used during the 2026/27 Motsepe Foundation Championship season. The release offers the club a fresh interpretation of its established colours without moving away from the visual identity associated with the team.
The blue and yellow palette, faded striping and horn-shaped collar detailing are the main design features, while the continued presence of SportPesa and the club badge links the new shirt to Cape Town City’s existing kit identity.
The launch comes as attention turns towards the club’s preparations for the new campaign. The 2026/27 season will see Cape Town City wear the Umbro-designed kit in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The club has presented the jersey as a contemporary football shirt built for performance, with lightweight comfort and breathable materials forming part of the design. Its detailing is intended to work both during matches and beyond them.
The new kit therefore combines Cape Town City’s traditional colours with updated styling around the collar, chest and striping. It keeps the important club and sponsor elements in place while giving the home shirt a noticeably refreshed appearance for the new season.
