ASCK defender Benjamin Holete begins new chapter with promoted Moroccan club
Benjamin Koffi Holete has completed his first move outside Togo after signing for Moroccan side Union Sportive Amal Tiznit.
The 23-year-old Togo international leaves the Chauffeurs de la Kozah after establishing himself as a reliable presence in the Togolese championship. He now begins a new stage of his career in North Africa, having officially committed to the club from Tiznit.
Holete, a powerful central defender known for his imposing physique, has agreed a two-year contract with Union Sportive Amal Tiznit. The deal will keep him at the Moroccan club until 2028 and represents a significant step for a player who has built his reputation in Togo.
Union Sportive Amal Tiznit secured promotion to the Botola Pro Inwi this season, and the signing of Holete strengthens the squad as it prepares for its return to Morocco’s top flight.
The club view the Togo international as an important defensive addition. His arrival is intended to provide greater stability at the back and bring experience to a team facing the demands of elite-level football.
Holete will wear the number four shirt for his new club. The agreement gives him the opportunity to establish himself in a championship regarded as demanding, while Tiznit gain a central defender expected to lead and organise the collective throughout the season.
The transfer also marks the end of Holete’s spell with the Chauffeurs de la Kozah, where he became established as one of the dependable figures in the Togolese league. His performances there earned him international recognition with Togo and helped create the opportunity for his first overseas contract.
For Union Sportive Amal Tiznit, the move is a notable piece of business ahead of their return to the Botola Pro Inwi. The promoted side have chosen a player with international experience and a strong physical presence to reinforce a key area of the team.
Holete now faces the challenge of adapting to a new country, club and competition. His contract, running through 2028, is designed to give him time to confirm his status in Moroccan football while allowing Tiznit to benefit from his defensive qualities over the course of the season.
