Marseille join race for Werder winger Justin Njinmah
Werder Bremen winger Justin Njinmah is attracting growing interest as the Bundesliga club consider the possibility of a summer departure.
Olympique Marseille are among the teams assessing a move for the 25-year-old, with Hull City, Southampton and Fiorentina also linked with the attacker.
According to Bild, Marseille are studying Njinmah closely but have not yet decided whether to push ahead with a formal approach. The French club are said to be weighing whether the forward represents sufficient value at Werder’s asking price.
Bremen reportedly want a fee in the high single-digit millions of euros for Njinmah. That valuation means any interested club will need to make a meaningful financial commitment before talks can advance. Marseille are currently assessing whether they are prepared to meet the German side’s demands.
Njinmah’s pace and ability to play across the front line make him an appealing option for clubs seeking added attacking depth. His situation is likely to draw further attention as the transfer window progresses, especially if Werder become open to negotiations.
For now, no agreement has been reached and no bid has been confirmed. However, the number of interested sides suggests Njinmah could have several options should he leave Bremen before the window closes.
