Hussein Ammouta and Al Ahly deny reported dispute over defensive reinforcements

Reports from the Egyptian media have played down claims of a disagreement between Al Ahly coach Hussein Ammouta and the club’s management over plans to strengthen the team’s defence.

According to the reports, there is no dispute between Ammouta and the club’s hierarchy, with both sides said to be working together to improve Al Ahly’s defensive organisation.

The Moroccan coach is instead focused on addressing weaknesses within the squad and improving the performances of the defenders and midfielders.

Ammouta focused on defensive improvement

Reports indicate that Ammouta is currently working on correcting shortcomings in the defensive system and reducing the mistakes that have affected the team.

The coach wants his players to avoid unnecessary errors and provide greater protection for the goal.
